Andale Appoints Former eBay Senior Management Leader, Janet George, to VP of Product and Marketing

15 year product management and marketing veteran joins executive team of growing eBay tools provider

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, -- August 25, 2004 - Andale, Inc. (app.vendio.com),the exclusive provider of eBay market intelligence and auction management services to more than 1.5 million online sellers worldwide, announced that it has named Janet George Vice President of Product Management and Marketing, a new position within the company.

Overseeing the product management and marketing organizations, Ms. George will be spearheading the company's product and go-to-market strategies and is chartered with growing the company's top line revenues and market share.

Ms. George has an industry track record in leadership, management and delivery of commercial software products. She joins Andale from eBay where she was part of the senior management team in the product organization. During her tenure at eBay she managed a large team and was responsible for scope, delivery and execution of 240 new features to the site each quarter, consistently meeting the service level agreements and goals for the team. Ms George was also instrumental in the market research, competitive analysis and scope of key strategic initiatives like eBay stores, eBay message center, Row expansion project, picture services and seamless integration of PayPal. Ms George also worked on the scope of major acquisitions for eBay like CarAD and on implementing the key initiatives to address process and scalability for eBay.

Prior to eBay, Ms. George founded MapSights, where, in the role of Vice President of Product, she created and executed a comprehensive business plan and product roadmap, and was involved in raising capital from potential venture investors and venture capital. Ms. George was instrumental in negotiating a licensing deal with a fortune 500 technology company and later planned and executed a successful buyout.

Previously, Ms. George was the Director of two Business Units -GeoApplications and EtakMap Web Server- at TeleAtlas/Etak (then a subsidiary of Sony Corp.), where she was responsible for global product lines. She managed a large offshore organization.

In addition Ms George also held senior positions at Apple Computer, Informix software and Hewlett Packard. Ms George holds an Advanced Masters degree, with Honors, in computer science.
